In Empire Junior B action the Buffalo Stars play host to the Jersey Wildcats. In Continental Junior C action the Buffalo Stars host the Jersey Wildcats. In a previous meeting this season the Stars came out on top twice including an 8-7 run and gun game. Jersey is an anomaly of sorts having given the top teams in the league a run for their money, yet struggling with the weaker teams.
The Wildcats, with a record of 4-10-2 sit in 5th place in the league but are not to be underestimated as an offensive threat. Dylan Jacobson is the Wildcats leading scorer with 14 goals and 10 assists to tie him for the scoring lead in the league. The Wildcats are unbeaten in their last 2 starts having won and tied with Virginia.
The Buffalo Stars are in solid control of 2nd place in the league with a record of 9-1. Unbeaten since September, the Stars have the most explosive offense in the CHA registering 8.2 goals per game. Buffalo is led by Anthony DiChristopher and Russ Rizzo with 20 points each. Eight other Stars players have double digit numbers and every member of the team except goaltenders have scored at least one point.
Teams face off Saturday and Sunday with warm up at 4:15pm and 10am respectively.
