Game Night Events
 
Saturday, October 13, 2012: Salute to America Opening Weekend  vs Jersey Wildcats
Join the Buffalo Stars as they celebrate the official home opening of the 2012-2013 hockey season.  The Stars will celebrate with an elaborate and patriotic Opening Ceremonies that will involve local military color guard, spotlights, music and pageantry. The night will also feature a Gift Card Collection to support families of troops stationed overseas. The collection will support the families of the Air National Guard 107 Airlift Wing Family Support Unit.  The Stars will also conduct a Chinese Auction to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.  It is also Alumni Night as the Stars will honor 3 former players by retiring their Jerseys and inducting them into the Buffalo Stars Hall of Fame.

Saturday, October 27, 2012: Health, Fitness & Safety Night vs Team Ohio U18 AAA
Join the Buffalo Stars as they help raise awareness of Health, Fitness and Safety Issues. The Stars will conduct a Blood Drive in conjunction with UNYTS (Upstate New York Transplant Services). Vendors from local medical and emergency response organizations will set up informational tables. There will also be Blood Pressure testing and numerous other activities. The Stars Juniors will also end their month long Cancer Awareness Event by wearing Pink Jerseys and conducting an auction following the game with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Sunday, October 28, 2012: Costume Dress Up Day vs Team Ohio U18 AAA
There will be prizes awarded in various categories for dressing up in your favorite Halloween Costume. Free Halloween treats will be passed out to all spectators.
 
Saturday, November 10, 2012: Taste of Buffalo Stars Night vs Syracuse
Come join us as Buffalo Stars Mom's make their favorite Buffalo food specialty for all players and fans to enjoy following the game.  Donations of food and clothing will also be accepted on behalf of the Buffalo City Mission.

Saturday, December 22, 2012: Annual Christmas Party/Open Skate vs Brewster
Come join the entire Buffalo Stars Organization as they celebrate the Holiday Season with their Annual Christmas Party and Family Skate.  All fans will get to enjoy food and beverage and skate with Stars Players in a family per game skating party. Visits from Santa, holiday music, raffles and auctions will highlight this all day event. The Buffalo Stars families will also conduct their Annual Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of WNY.

Saturday, January 12, 2013: Rock n Roll Night vs Philadelphia Revolution
Come and join as the Buffalo Stars pay tribute to Rock n Roll. A pre game rock n roll party will be held in the upper lobby of the main arena.

Saturday, January 26, 2013: Youth Hockey Appreciation Night vs Adirondack
The Buffalo Stars will open the doors to area youth hockey players. All players wearing their team jerseys are eligible for prizes. There will be various other pre game events for the kids and adults alike.

Saturday, February 23, 2013: Fan Appreciation Night vs Suffolk
The Buffalo Stars will say thank you to all our wonderful fans with games, prizes and food both pre and post game.

Stars Go Pink (Month of October)
The Buffalo Stars will also GO PINK the entire month of October as the entire organization gets behind an effort to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. All Stars teams will wear pink skate laces the entire month of October. In addition, all Stars teams will organize a function during the month to support the American Cancer Society. Stars players are also selling Pink Bracelets and Paper Ribbons for the cause.
